THIS SUMMER

July / August 2016

1
Love season.
2
I've been working all summer and listening to Seamwork radio made my commute so much better.
3
Pattern/wardrobe obsession : sewing all the basics. On top of my list the Penny raglan and Driftless cardigan by Grainline studio.
4 & 5
While my parents were here we took the time to play the tourists in our own city (4 is Picasso museum) and around (5 is the medieval city of Provins).
6
Binge watching House for the past two months.

SIMPLE AND EASY

Vest size 3 months (my own pattern) / Yarn : Partner 3,5 (Phildar).

Parc Bagatelle harem pants size 3 months (La Droguerie) / Fabric : from an old skirt.

Postcard and body : Hema.

Box : Sostrene Grene.

When in doubt, go for simple (and when in a hurry, go for easy!). Take garter stitch, beige, blue denim and white, add cute little flower buttons, and if your like me (stationary addict) run to Sostrene Grene, find a pretty box to pack everything and voilà, you have a pretty failproof present in your hands (if I do say so myself...).

THIS MONTH

June 2016

1
Yarn obsession : Linen, I'm in love.
2
A nice Twitter account if you like haiku (only in French) : Dix-sept syllabes @CabaneForsythia.
3
The instagram account to follow : @themintgardener, love her Etsy shop as well.
4
Still thinking about this capsule wardrobe thing, maybe this planner would be a good place to start.
5
A nice sunday afternoon at the canal to see this year edition of Voix sur berges.
6
Fabric obsession : I have been given this fabric and I bloody love it. First I wanted to make a dress with it but I'm not sure because of all the shine... maybe a robe like this Almada number from Seamwork? Any suggestions?

THIS MONTH

May 2016

1
Latest sewing obsession : jeans making. I've already had the Ginger jeans pattern in my stash for a while but these Morgan jeans look pretty tempting as well...
2
Yarn obsession : Puna by Drops, an alpaca yarn to be knitted with n°4 needles, must try that!
3
The instagram account to follow : @teresacfreitas.
 4
Finally found my perfect nude polish shade, Essie Sand Tropez (picture by Elissa R Photography).
5
New favorite lunch spot : Matamata, 58 rue d'Argout 75002 Paris.
6
The site I'm obsessed with to help keep track of your wardrobe, sewing and knitting projects : Polyvore. If you are interested in that kind of stuff Eléonore has a good post about it on her Wearability project blog.
